We had a great breakfast gathering this weekend! And oh, the lies we believe about children! Not only are children a treasure and a blessing, but God never intended for our children to learn the hard way what we as parents should have trained them in from the beginning. Let’s face it… there are just some things we need to learn from experience in order to gain wisdom and appreciate God’s grace and mercy. However, if we as parents don’t teach our kids NOW how to cultivate their own intimate relationship with God… what it really means to love righteousness… if we don’t model a fervent prayer life and passionate love for Truth – then we really shouldn’t be surprised when our kids don’t make good decisions, should we? The truth about marriage…

It’s official! SUBMISSION is not an ugly word! This week we rooted out that evil lie that tells us that submission equals slavery. We came to see that when we submit to our husbands as the authority over us, we’re actually honoring God who put him there in the first place. Our husbands are called to love us… we are told to respect them. When we are obedient – we’re actually free!!!

What was intended to be a good review turned into awesome ministry – and I’m so glad we’re surrounded by ladies who really do love God and each other! Well hello again, ladies! Hopefully everyone is staying dry during this grueling weather! Just a quick heads up – get those books out and do your reviews! It’s time to dust off those lies we believe about marriage, because we’re ripping them out and replacing them with the Truth of God’s Word. Breakfast will be served at Ms. Irene’s house promptly at 9:30am on Saturday 09/10/11, so if you’re able to help with the prep, please arrive early. Don’t forget your Bibles, your books and workbooks, you sharing dishes, and of course, your lovely selves. It’ll be so great to see you again, and I’d like to welcome all our guests who may be joining us. See you in September! (I’m singing for you – you just can’t hear me!)

Another Awesome Women’s Tea Extravaganza!

But of course, our women’s tea was fantastic! The food was great! The fellowship was wonderful! The atmosphere – perfect! The speakers – just magnificent! Thank you, thank you, thank you for making yesterday such an extraordinary time in ministry! God was definitely there, and it was great to just be able to enjoy our time with each other, to sit under some great teaching, and to discover the truth about our purpose and identity in Christ!
